When I have done it in the past and designed my characters i= n illustrator, what in would do is export layers to PSD layers and make sur= e I set the highest resolution I can deal with, so in AE everything stays c= risp and clean, and doesn't need to use AI elements which cause a big s= low-down with DUIK sometimes.
