| That gets trickier if you have other color profiles in there. If you apply the LUT to just the plate and then add your other stuff on top, it won't look right to render the shot with the LUT off on the plate. I recall one shot that I worked on that we put the LUT on top of everything and "reversed" it on one layer that I brought in. It wasn't ideal but we made it work. It would be nice to have a way to convert footage with gamma to a similar profile to the LogC. If your colorist is cool with getting files with the LUT applied you can just put the LUT on the plate and comp away I guess. Here we like to give the colorist the same flat color like all the rest of the shots.
