Set Matte is no good to me if I'm trying to get a matte from a text layer that's moving about in the frame. Also very often i'm using some sort of ramp/gradient/noise effect on a solid to generate a property map to plug into Particular or Compound blur or any other filter. Again, I'm having to precompose because these effects aren't processed before they're plugged into whatever filter I'm using. |
