That's what I mean by competition (Nuke). Though I don't think there's more than maybe a 30% functional overlap between them. AE will never be the hardcore nodal 3D compositor that Nuke is, and Nuke probably isn't anyone's first choice for text animation. Chris, you took off on a tear without actually reading what I wrote, which is pretty much the opposite of what your rant assumed. I say, strengthen the things which make AE unique, which is as a CREATIVE platform. Which is why I said brushes and fonts. How many other apps can one create really beautiful work quickly, often without any external sources? Make it so that a generalist needs to know BOTH.
