Darren, you can do this already. Just add a stand-in expression: either the default expression or value[0,1,2,etc] by alt clicking on the stopwatch. This lets you substitute your keyframes for an alternate value. just turn off the expression to restore the keys

There's also one in Synthetic Ap's Test Gear, but it doesn't work like native color pickers in other Adobe apps.  It allows you to make custom palettes, which can be pretty useful in design work with branded colors.


BTW, my number one feature request for Ae is still Ps style layer grouping.
