| I just sent this response to someone, and I realized that it might be useful to spread the information more widely: "I discovered why you didn't get the Help > Updates command: If the application was deployed through AAMEE (Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition), the Updates command can be suppressed, because the assumption is that the administrator who deployed the application will manage and deploy updates in the same fashion."
