whoa - I just tried that at home and color me surprised - that is the case. I am amazed that obviously I have never hit the contextual menu on the name before and also I think that it's poor UI design that the menus would be so different from the icon to the name.

Thanks, Eric,

It matters "where" you click on the layer. Click on the icon, then the name, etc. you will see different options.

While I was talking to a designer at work while he was working on Photoshop CS6 and I noticed that when he used the contextual menu on the layers panel he had more options than I use contextual menus on my Photoshop CS6 - he has Rasterize layer and layer mask I don't have any of that - I can't figure out how to get more options on my menus, I would think it was under preference or panel options but I haven't found anything. Any ideas?
