When footage was shot with a wide angle lens you should use optics compensation to remove the lens distortion before you do the camera track. Then comp against the plate with the distortion removed and you can reintroduce the lensing by reversing the optics compensation and applying that over the comp as an adjustment layer

hello all,
I have some DSLR footage in a scene that needs 3D text with reflection in a pool.
The trouble is that there is a weird camera move and pan on a crane combined with wide angle lens.
I had a quick go by eye with the client over the shoulder, and the results where pretty good but the beginning and end parts couldn't match.. I used the VCP reflect so I didn't have extrusioneither
I thought to do it "properly" by creating a 3D environment camera matching and using 3D text raytraced.
The new 3d camera tracker gets the perspectives wrong, (apart from having a hard time solving &failing when detail analysis was off).
I thought I could create 3D cordinates as in PS vanishing point, but after applying the fx on the layer I get no options?
Am I missing something?
