I’m guessing this is why my performance in AE CS6 is a sluggish as Pe= ters.

Is there a “recommended” card to get as an upgrade?

Thanks.

But I'll answer it again one more time clearly.

You need a new computer. The graphics card in your laptop is too slow to pe= rform raytracing, therefore cs6 has to use the CPU. The ray tracer does not = perform quickly on such an old laptop CPU either, hence your long render tim= es. Its built to run on fast modern GPU s. Understand?

I was irritated because after watching Brian Maffitt's 'Global performance = cache' tutorial on=A0
Adobe TV=A0http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-after-effects-cs6/global= -performance-cache/
I was under the impression that the days of long renders are over.
Am I missing something here?? I am running AE6 on a MacBook Pro Mid 2009, 2= .66Ghz,
dual Core with 8 GB RAM
You can watch the movie on:

I am grateful for any suggestion
Thank you
