I am still experiencing bugs with the new cache system (but I love it and am still using it).  The bug I am encountering is ae displaying pre-rendered frames from the cache even though tiff sequence frames used in the sequence have been revised (the workaround is you have to erase the disk cache and purge all).

Not enough to ever make me ever want to go back, but annoying and potentially very problematic if I deliver something incorrect because ae rendered frames from the cache instead of my revised tiff sequence layer.

I admit I havent filed a bug report, hopefully someone else has.

Stephen:

Just out of curiosity what kind of bugs are you experiencing in CS6? I haven't migrated back to 5.5 for a long time, enjoying the speed of the new disk cache, extended effects menu, etc.

I’m hoping there is a 6.5 release soon to fix the various bugs as I do prefer CS6 but certain bugs push back to 5.5 for certain projects. Of course, Adobe will likely not say if they are, but one can always hope J

A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.
