U should give it another chance.  Having watched Super 8 about 30x now, it gets better with repetition.  Loved that train carnage!  It exercises my sub-woofer something fierce.

That’s a matter of taste really – in Super 8, I really want to take him outside the theater for a beating. Of course, it was not a very good movie either.
