And another thing occurred to me, considering apple's increasingly short upgrade cycles, the mbp is probably due for another (incremental) upgrade, am I right? I may actually be better off waiting a few months to see what else is coming out. Any rampant and irresponsible speculation on that fact?

It really bugs me these things are basically impossible to user-upgrade now. If only there were a pc laptop with battery life, power and display resolution that could match it. Can someone prove me wrong? Those sony vaios seem pretty flimsy, and are just as expensive for lower resolution screens.

Not a personal experience but it might help you out.

Just looking for any opinions on the latest model MBP, thinking about making the jump soon for an ongoing gig. How is the graphics card? Is it lighter than a mid 2010 model? Most importantly, how is the battery life?

Similarly, would anyone be interested in a fully loaded mid-2010 MBP? With bootcamp already loaded, 2.6 ghz dual-core intel, 500 GB fusion drive, 8 GB RAM? Would prefer local (NYC area) cash only pick up, but might do an ebay sale cross country if someone's really interested.

Thanks!
