I did a lot of work with ReMap UV recently, and my UV pass came from Cinema. I'll check my settings at work tomorrow but I think maybe you don't want to preserve RGB as a first point. I know the UV pass can be a little touchy - I used a tiff sequence and tried resaving it with LZW to save space but it completely screwed the mapping up. I'll be in touch tomorrow.
