The site you recommended sells the font for $30.

However, I noticed that it can be downloaded for free from here:

I wonder what the difference might be, other than cost?  Knock-offs?

Silentina is used often in actual silent film restorations...


Problem is, most intertitles were hand lettered, so a font looks too uniform to the picky, but I don't  know of anyone who still practices the art of hand lettering for signs.

Of course, by hand-kerning the text, you can get a lot closer to a more agreeable look.
