| well for the "3d" motion effect they used during the superbowl for the huge angle swings on kickoffs etc, I'm pretty sure they had multiple cameras, like over ten. For live regular NFL games I think it's a live processing effect for broadcast like twixtor on steroids. Many of the cameras are also speed about on ziplines above the action, running in hi-speed so they can pull down to slo mo for a huge angle switch
also, yeah, headache inducing. reminds me of those "3d" animated gifs

I agree. they had two camera angles on each shot. edited the angles together all Wang Chung style,
then ran the whole thing through Twixtor. i would bet on it.
