Yup
delete the bad files from your drive then click the "skip existing frames" button in the render settings.

Set the range to be from 0-5000 and AE will only render the missing frames.

Sounds like this is just what you need.

Render queue issue
Right chaps/chapesses, this is something that has been bugging me for ages & I’m pretty sure I’m just missing something obvious...

Example:
I have a comp which is 5000 frames long.
I’ve already rendered this to a folder as sequential tiffs.
I need to change various parts of the comp & re-render the frames which are different.
For example frame 0-750, 1250-2500 & 4000-5000.
I set up 3 render jobs, one for each chunk of files, however AE won’t let me set of the queue & go to bed & gives me the message “the name of the selected output module is already in use. please choose another name.” which I can’t because all the files have to have the same names.

I’m currently having to wait for each part to finish before submitting the next job, which is a bit of a pain as I want to go & watch telly.

Is there any solution to this, just using the render queue (without net-rendering, command-line rendering etc.)?

Many thanks in advance!

Cheers

Elliot
