No color space issues although I'm not doing final grading and mostly staying in AE. I have a new i7 mac mini as file server and prores encoding box and get maximum bandwidth over the network with my pc. There are several FFMPEG and other solutions out there - including th= is:

You must have a setup issue. I have Linux, Mac (Hackintosh) and Windo= ws 7
all happy together and networked - critical part of my workflow. As long as=
you don't turn Homegroup on, life is good. Linux is an Unbuntu box. Lik= e any

I'm not actually aware of single workflow stopper other than if you hav= e
apps or hardware that simply won't function on anything but Apple and t= he
cost of replacing them is too high.

A film is - or should be - more like music than like fiction. It should be = a
progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what's behind the emotion= , the
meaning, all that comes later.
