Does anyone else have a file in their root directory (on Mac at least) called Ahmbed.gz? I have been reading up online the origin of this file and there is some confusion. Many people seem to think it is a crack for AI CS3 that was downloaded with a torrent, even though there are numerous cases of it turning up without any torrenting having taken place. There was also a report that this file is left over from the Abobe installation procedure. Following some advice on a help forum I looked in Console for the /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installs/ProductionPremiumInstall.log.gz and lo and behold there is a reference to a AhmbedGUI. No reference to a Ahmbed.gz but the name is close.
I could find no official word from Adobe as to the nature of this file. Is it safe to delete? Is it a vital piece of the Creative Suite? Anyone come across this and safely deleted it?

In CS6 (os X), anyone know if there are any issues of moving my plug-ins from the adobe /library/app support/ adobe/common /plug-ins/cs6 folder to the Applications/After Effetcs/Plug-ins folder?
I don't want to wait on Premiere and Media Encoder to load the plug-ins when I launch them. I want to leave them for AE only.
Thanks,
Scott
