Hi Peter,

I remember when this was released I was interested but had email issues at the time and couldn't ask any questions...

How would you say this compares to the Ocula plug-in for Nuke?  Is it not the same thing, or is there some overlap?

We worked on a stereo project last year and all of the footage keying and pre-processing was done in Nuke.  The cost of the Ocula plugin to process and align the stereo rushes was astonishing (tens of thousands of dollars just to rent it) - so if this is a low cost alternative for AE that does the same thing then it's very exciting indeed, even if it might be a niche product.

Hope it's a success for you!

-Chris

Hey all,
<product announcement>
Just some info on the newly released RE:Match v1.1

RE:Match v1.1 released. A lower priced $89.95 version is now available for
multicam shoots, or single camera shoots consisting of multiple shots with
different lighting or camera settings, where RE:Match matches as best it can
one sequence's overall color appearance to match that of another. RE:Match
Pro is $329.95 and adds the support for matching for stereo pairs. For more
info: http://www.revisionfx.com/products/rematch/

In this way you can get the automatic color matching plug-in without having
to pay for the stereo features.

RE:Match has the RE:Match Color plug-in and performs it's color matching by
many methods:
> Matcing global gain and offsets of the two images
> Matching the global mean of the two images
> 2 differing histogram methods
> Can use a subwindow to calculate the match (presumably to cordon off areas
> that should match, excluding areas that are different in the two images), but
> then apply the transformation to all the pixels
> Can cut and paste a stored transformation from one clip to another
