My Crucial 256 GB SSD from over two years ago has been without any issues in a Macbook Pro and another Crucial 256 GB drive installed in my MacPro tower a year ago is also working just fine. Would recommend.

Avoid OCZ. Samsung 830's are good if you can find them. 840's are ok, but not as good as the 830's were. I wouldn't get anything smaller than a 256GB.

We're looking to spiff up our Mac towers by installing SSDs for the system/program/cache drives.
Before clicking "Buy", we were curious if anyone had experiences with brands that have let them down or that seem to be particularly good value?
thanks -
