Gee, well color me embarrassed. I've been avoiding creating type in Ps all this time. But, there's another reason. I still think Ae is the place to do still frame graphics with text. That's because it's so easy to change fonts, sizes, color, etc. on a whole project when you put all them in a single comp in Ae by selecting all the layers and then making changes to all the text at once. And plus, it's pretty simple to do alignments of all your text, if they all exist in a single Comp in Ae. I do this: Create text in Ae, where each "page" of text is one frame in duration. All my text has a common BG that's on the lower layers in the Comp. Export as a numbered still sequence, like PNG, and bring those into Pr for placement. If there are any changes, I can make them in Ae, designate those frames as the Work Area, and re-render, over-writing the existing files. Then the changes show up automatically in Pr.
