They sent the missing files and an updated project file. The first file they sent was a collect. I opened the new file which is not a collect - it of course reports all the files missing. I link to the first set and AE only find the files in that folder - does not read the rest of the files from missing drive. What's the simplest way to fix this? (we are talking thousands of folders) If they redo the collect on their end with collect source files set to none - I don't think it will relink.
