Carey, Noctura seems a better option for me than WC: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/h100i-elc240-seidon-240m-lq320,3380-14.html From: Carey Dissmore [mailto:carey@imugonline.com] Sent: Thursday, March 14, 2013 1:34 AM To: After Effects Mail List; stephen@sv2studios.com Subject: Re: [AE] Pushing MP in AE - 6GB per core Better go liquid cooling Steven. Just MHO.
My IMAX film renders typically have source layers – tiled due to AE’s 2GB buffer limit, in the hundreds of megapixels. AE cannot render these without huge amounts of RAM per core. I am ordering a Noctura cooler for OC – yes have the 3930K. My previous box was O’C too. A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later. |
