I'm still running 10.6.8 and an older iLife install (iphoto '08). So = maybe my setup is not up to the challenge, like the newer OSX and = probably iPhoto '11. I did try seeing if one of the kid's MacMini's = with a DVD drive could read the disk, with iPhoto '11 and 10.6.8, it = could not read the files either. So, maybe it's something with the new = version of OSX. I still have a G4 with OS9 I use from some archive projects with video = in the Truevision RTX codec, and I'm pretty sure that setup would let = Photoshop open these disks and even choose the resolution. Since I'd prefer to have an image database which is not tied to support = for the Kodak codec, I am test driving the software I mentioned and = batch converting an entire CD volume to .jpg format. The conversion = process seems to be be just about as fast (using 4 of 8 processors) as I = could copy the .pcd image files over to my source data HDD. Now I just have to work thru 2 libraries (400 cds). :) Not quite as = convenient as running thru audio CDs in itunes, but it's not too bad. =20= Thanks again for the responses. RJ ...
