Mathias, I sadly need to parent it (it= 's a design choice for easier stuff after, as the setup is slightly mor= e complicated that it sounds :( ).

Are you sure you need the guy to parent to t= he ladder?
What about linking the guys position + scale to the ladder, but its rotatio= n to the floor?

Cheers,
Mathias

Subject: Rotation Expression Problem

Hi everyone,

I'm struggling with a project right now and can't seem to find the<= br> appropriate orientation / rotation expression.

In this project I have 3 layers, the floor, the ladder and the guy.

I have to keep the guy perpendicular to the floor. But the guy layer is
parented to the ladder, and the ladder is animated on all it's rotation=
axis (imagine a flying carpet, but looking like a ladder).

I can't seem to find the correct expressions to keep the guy
perpendicular to the floor (which can also be animated on it's
orientation/rotation axis) in all cases. The guy parenting to the ladder adds a lot of complication that my non-math-friendly head can't seem to=
overcome.

Any hint ?

Cheers,

Seb
