I would love a feature called replace PSD used in comp or similar. One = example is when the puppet mesh generated by the alpha does not have to = change, I may for example just have made sure to keep the new PSD = version layers within that puppet mesh, so all I want to do is swap all = layers in a comp at the same time rather than one by one. A reason is also that I don=92t want all the character design variants = in the same PSD, so turning on and off would then not apply. Let=92s say = I may have a pretty complex character with so many layers it would be = too much work to have all designs in one PSD. Also, it=92s indeed very important to me not to loose the deformation = beauty of the comp layer (containing the PSD layers). I will need to try out all the different methods from you, Chris and = Robert and see what works best for me.
