Hi,
I have for a long time wondered, that if I for example want to use the same
puppet tool comp I have animated already, let’s say a character animation, but I
want to now add let’s say a hat on his head, or a briefcase in his hand (or
let’s say a really crazy long hairstyle).
I need the new layer (let’s stick
to the hat example) on top of the puppet comp to just stay in place, as if it
was indeed part of the puppet comp (with deform as an option, for example solid
objects should often not deform like the briefcase.)
So, basically, how do I have a layer object act (stay in place) like if was
part of the comp that is puppet animated but afterwards, as I don’t want to
change the original puppet animation / mesh.
This is of course a non
issue if the object is static inside of the puppet mesh, then I would just add
an extra layer in the puppet comp, but doesn’t work for objects larger than the
mesh.
I have tried things like using an expression to have a layer follow a
single puppet pin number, but that doesn’t do the trick at all. I just want
another layer on top, like if I could add the layer in the puppet comp but have
it invisible so the puppet tool could not “see” that layer just draw it.
I bet there is an easy way that I just have not figured
out.
Thanks
Anders
