I've already duped the comp and turned off the light flare layer to make my own matte. I'll try Set Matte and also the Preserve Transparency switch. Thanks. Are you saying you want= the lens flare to only appear inside the logo?=A0 I might use the Preserve= Transparency layer switch for that, but the details of your comp may deman= d another solution.=A0 In other cases using an Alpha Track Matte or Set Mat= te with a pre-comp of your logo animation would probably work.

If that's not what you're after can you please try to exp= lain it again and spell out in detail what it is you currently have versus = what you'd like to have.

Hi,

I have a logo resolve with its= accompanying logotype and a light flare on add mode moving across it. Logo= type fades up from 0 opacity and starts blurred, ending sharp. I=92m making my own luma matte= and trying to matte in the flare but it seems to strangle the edges when t= he type is blurred. Any suggestions on the correct way to do this?

Cheers.
