This is a very good question. In one of the 'reveal' videos I viewed,
the narrator said that what happens is C4D launches a render instance in
the background. That leads me to believe that we are not getting
GPU-accelerated rendering of the C4D component of the comp.
I too wonder about the functionality and interactivity of ray-traced
layers with C4D layers.
