Yes, when creating a training clip telling users how to turn it off.

Have you seen anyone else use it?

Not deliberately.

How would you feel about it being removed?

I would not miss it.

You enabled the auto-keyframe button in the timeline. Otherwise some plug-ins may cause this behavior...
