I'm looking into going to SIGGRAPH again this year. I've been 5 times in the past 15 years. I always get a lot out of it but just thought I would ask how it might be compared to the Motion Conference. I know that conference will be favored on this list but I'm especially keen to hear from someone who has been to both shows. My tastes lean toward VFX and 3D with an interest in things like particles and simulation over pure motion design. Anyone care to share experiences?
