Agreed with the assessment of SIGGR= APH and Motion. I've been to both and like them.=A0

But I have to say the greatest AE conference of all time was= sadly a one-off. The After Effects West conference, held in Pasadena in 20= 01 and produced by Lynda Weinman was abso-friggen-lutely the greatest AE co= nference of my entire professional career. I would love to s= ee it replicated if at all possible.

Bumping this topic to generate some feedback. I'm looking int= o going to SIGGRAPH again this year. I've been 5 times in the past 15 y= ears. I always get a lot out of it but just thought I would ask how it migh= t be compared to the Motion Conference. I know that conference will be favo= red on this list but I'm especially keen to hear from someone who has b= een to both shows. My tastes lean toward VFX and 3D with an interest in thi= ngs like particles and simulation over pure motion design.=A0

Anyone care to share experiences?
