In terms of price to performance ratio the Intel core i7 3930k blows any
amd chip out of the water. Pure thread count is not necessarily the best
indicator of efficiency. Look at some benchmarks before you buy. You may
spend a little more but the performance boost could be worth it. Especially
when you factor in upgrade costs in buying slower tech. My two cents.
