Something I just came across with my installation of windows 8 that you might have to keep an eye on. After you assemble the computer and install the OS, make sure you take your performance cache SSD (assuming you have one) off the list for the computer to defragment.

an ssd for the system is an absolute must. i have 3 ssd's on machines here in the office, i'll never go back to mechanical drives for system drives

I got the same thing about a year ago and it's not half bad for C4D and AE. You might look into getting and SSD drive for your OS as well. When you get your system together, run Cinebench and let us know the results.
