I use an old old nab-script TransformMasks.jsx that once was available on his site www.nabscripts.com but for some reason has been taken offline when he redesigned the site years ago.
But searching around on aescripts.com it looks like he has incorporated the very useful transform features in his Shapes and Masks script here:http://aescripts.com/shapes-and-masks/
One lifesaving feature of this script, is the transforms work with animated masks. If it isn't something you need build into your own script it might be worth a look.
