There is no change in this regard. The software does not automatically "upd=
ate" to the newest version. You can choose if/when to download and install =
the newer versions. You can have multiple versions installed on your comput=
er at once. Everything is the same as before. The only significant thing th=
at is different is that you would be paying a subscription fee rather than =
a one-time license fee, and the activation system checks periodically to ma=
ke sure that the subscription is current.

Actually, one additional improvement in this area: You will have access to =
all versions that have been released during your subscription, going back a=
t least five versions, as far as CS6; so---for example---when you're using =
(say, hypothetically) After Effects 15.0 years from now, you'll still be ab=
le to grab After Effects 11.0 (CS6) as part of your subscription, should yo=
u need to use it to do something with an old project or for a customer who =
still hasn't upgraded.
