you can't just trash your apps. they have to be properly uninstalled because the uninstall process updates local housekeeping files on the apps status and removes a lot of other files.
google "adobe cleanup script"
go get it. run it and follow the in app directions. this removes not just the apps, but the housekeeping files too. consider it the nukular deinstall. then reinstall apps.
honestly with the local .DMG install file its pretty fast and painless, especially with SSD :)
if you had CS6 installed from DVD / .DMG on the machine and switched to cloud ... lets just say sometimes @!#t happens and the clean up script should get you going.
the cloud installers do really work.
