There is an updated firmware for the Canon 5D mkIII about to be released that should make it possible to have a clean hdmi output. If that output is 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 and hasnt been through some internal compression first i dont think has been any info about yet. But hopefully Canon does the right thing and outputs 4:2:2.... or 4:4:4 :-D
