I never use cracked software. I was connected to someone at Adobe who offered a few suggestions which = helped but did not fix the problem. Mainly, manually downloading updates = and installing them. I went back in my Library/Application Support/Adobe folder and trashed = everything that was older than a year and did not apply to an existing = app that I need to keep working (AE & Photoshop CS5.5). I also trashed = the preferences I could find. I also uninstalled every old Adobe app that I don't use. Again, = everything except AE & Photoshop CS5.5. FYI, the Uninstaller didn't = actually uninstall all the apps. I had to manually trash most of them. Then when I opened the Adobe Application Manager it magically changed = from showing apps that needed updates to all the apps needing to be = installed. Then I was able to install everything, although I had to manually update = all CS6 programs. That took all day yesterday and all night. So now, I have all of the apps I need except Illustrator which = installed, but errors out in the Adobe Application Manager. And the = Adobe Media Encoder which installed with Premiere Pro but crashes = without actually running every time I try to run it. Immediately, it said that I needed to update most of the apps. Great. I = tried to update photoshop and got the same error I had been getting = before.=20 So here I am. Working, but the problem still isn't actually fixed. Check your hosts file, in case it is = blocking any adobe addresses.
I am not = accusing, just offering up a possible option to = explore.
if not, use the = Brute Force Method. erase everything and = re-install
good luck.
