the best way of dumping cards is with something like a FW800 connection =
or in the case of a laptop a PCIe Slot card reader. Most built in SD =
card readers are actually on the USB bus :( . With the PCIe reader  I =
get the full 45mb/sec transfer rate from the card rather than USB2.0's =
20mb.sec. possible you might find a USB 3.0 that does better assuming =
you have a USB3 port to use. very  much worth it as it cuts down the =
xfer time by 50-75% depending on reader setup


and don't skimp on the SD cards.  just get 45mb/sec cards and be done =
with it. a little more expensive but more than worth it for the time you =
save and reliable recording at higher data rates.=20
