Hi Sean,
to track an area, but don't move the mask you need to set the option "Link to Track" of the layer in mocha to "none".
To create a panoramic out of your pan, you can use the technique I show in these tutorials:
Follow the tutorial and just skip the step to move the stabilized image again - since you don't want a smoothed movement but no movement at all. In these tutorials, I create duplicates of the layer and shift them in time. I do it to fill the borders of the stabilized clip, but if you use a larger comp, you can use the same to stitch a larger image instead of reconstructing only the borders.

Hi all=2C
I only have the version of Mocha that comes bundled with AE CS6.
I have a long tripod panning shot. Basically=2C I'd like to create one long=
image that is basically a huge panoramic of the entire scene that is panne=
d across. Isn't there a way for Mocha to do something like this? I seem to =
remember a tutorial where the camera pans up or down a blue sign with Asian=
characters on it=2C and you can tell mocha to kind of lock the mask to scr=
een space=2C even though it is tracking what's passing through the mask.
Is there an easier way to do this that to just grab every few frames and pa=
ste them all together on photoshop?
