Essentially pre-comp you clip into a very large canvas and then stabilize. Here are a couple links: David Shorey used mocha Pro's remove module on this one: http://www.mochapromagic.com/archives/84 An Carl Larsen used mocha and AE to create a large plate: https://vimeo.com/64574867 A very useful key to solving panning shots in mocha is "unlinking" the layer from the track. This effectively creates an offset tracking relationship where the shape stays in one place and as pixels enter the shape, they offset the track data. I have seen a couple users achieve what you want. Essentially p= re-comp you clip into a very large canvas and then stabilize.
Here are a= couple links:

David Shorey used mocha Pro's remove module on t= his one:
http://www.mochapromag= ic.com/archives/84

An Carl Larsen used mocha and AE to create a = large plate:
https://vimeo.com/6= 4574867

A very useful key to solving panning shots in mocha is "unlinking&= quot; the layer from the track. This effectively creates an offset tracking= relationship where the shape stays in one place and as pixels enter the sh= ape, they offset the track data.

Hope this helps,
Ross

Hi = Sean,

to track an area, but don't move the mas= k you need to set the option "Link to Track" of the layer in moch= a to "none".

To create a panoramic out of your pan, you can use the = technique I show in these tutorials:

Follow the tutorial and just skip the step to move= the stabilized image again - since you don't want a smoothed movement = but no movement at all.
In these tutorials, I create duplic= ates of the layer and shift them in time.=A0
I do it to fill the borders of the stabilized clip, but if you use a l= arger comp, you can use the same to stitch a larger image instead of recons= tructing only the borders.

Cheers,
Mathi= as

Hi all=3D2C
I only have the= version of Mocha that comes bundled with AE CS6.
I have a long t= ripod panning shot. Basically=3D2C I'd like to create one long=3D
image that is b= asically a huge panoramic of the entire scene that is panne=3D
d across. Isn&#= 39;t there a way for Mocha to do something like this? I seem to =3D<= br style=3D"font-family:Helvetica;font-size:medium;font-style:normal;font-v= ariant:normal;font-weight:normal;letter-spacing:normal;line-height:normal;t= ext-align:-webkit-auto;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:norm= al;word-spacing:0px"> remember a tuto= rial where the camera pans up or down a blue sign with Asian=3D
characters on i= t=3D2C and you can tell mocha to kind of lock the mask to scr=3D
een space=3D2C = even though it is tracking what's passing through the mask.
Is there an eas= ier way to do this that to just grab every few frames and pa=3D
ste them all to= gether on photoshop?
thanks=3D2C =A0= sean=A0 =A0 =A0=A0=A0 =A0=A0=3D
