"Do I need ongoing Internet access to use my Creative Suite applications?= Because your Creative Suite applications are installed directly on your c= omputer, you will not need an ongoing Internet connection to use them on = a daily basis. However, you will need to be online when you install and l= icense your software, and at least once every 30 days thereafter. The sof= tware will alert you when you need to connect to the Internet for a licen= se status check." If Adobe had required a 24hr internet connection to run the app, that not= only would not only be foolish, but would probably remove many Adobe app= s from the industry over night, as many offices are required to have zero= web access areas for sensitive work. Many studios need this protection t= o prevent hackers/loose lips from leaking high profile projects easily. N= ot that it still can't be done, but it's a security requirement. We've ha= d a number of projects that has required a no internet access setup. If A= dobe ever switched over to a 24hr internet access setup, then our office = would be forced to leave Adobe all together. I don't think either side wa= nts that. -- David Torno Visual Effects Artist and Supervisor http://www.ghosttownmedia.com david@ghosttownmedia.com O: 213.739.2290 C: 818.391.6060 ------------------------------------------------ http://www.sydefxink.com (main portfolio) http://aeioweyou.blogspot.com (vfx tutorials and AE scripts blog) http://mactex.blogspot.com (free textures blog) -----Original Message----- From: Mr. Eric D. I need a demo on how the cloud actually works and does it require a high end internet connection always on, etc. And is this pending new release not going to be released as an applicatio= n (CS7?)?
