"Do I need ongoing Internet access to use my Creative Suite applications? Because your Creative Suite applications are installed directly on your com= puter, you will not need an ongoing Internet connection to use them on a da= ily basis. However, you will need to be online when you install and license= your software, and at least once every 30 days thereafter. The software wi= ll alert you when you need to connect to the Internet for a license status = check." If Adobe had required a 24hr internet connection to run the app, that not o= nly would not only be foolish, but would probably remove many Adobe apps fr= om the industry over night, as many offices are required to have zero web a= ccess areas for sensitive work. Many studios need this protection to preven= t hackers/loose lips from leaking high profile projects easily. Not that it= still can't be done, but it's a security requirement. We've had a number o= f projects that has required a no internet access setup. If Adobe ever swit= ched over to a 24hr internet access setup, then our office would be forced = to leave Adobe all together. I don't think either side wants that.
