Re: [AE] CS is DEAD For people who are always in work and who upgrade every time a new version comes out, it makes no difference if they are upgrading the perpetual licenses or subscribing to Creative Cloud.

The people this will negatively impact are the ones who maybe can’t afford to upgrade every time and therefore can’t afford to pay $600 a year for a subscription. With the current model these people could still work with the version they have. Once using the cloud model, a lapse in subscription means they can’t work and therefore can’t earn the money needed to pay for the subscription.

I personally like to own the licenses of my software. Some packages need a subscription to keep up to date but if I stop paying that, for whatever reason, the software still works. I just don’t get my updates.

I would have liked CC to have been running parallel with CS for a few versions before forcing everyone over to it.

Elliot
