I have this setup. works with no problem. Like you said you can have two full installs. It's basically two licenses. You just literally can't be using both at the same moment. I've never run into a problem and I use both extensively.

In Europe we are looking at $80 a month (12 months) or $117 a month (pick and choose)!

The point is that if someone is going through a tough patch, they can choose to hold off for a while on a upgrade. Not possible with a subscription.

One thing that is nice is that if you are an occasional user you can choose to buy a month here and there for $49 a pop. Doesn't seem to bad to me if you can manage to make money with the tools. Also, a monthly bill seems to be easier for some folks to handle than a $600 upgrade. If your business doesn't make enough to cover $49 a month you have issues.

Unless you switch to Creative Cloud you are stuck on CS6 forever.

The people this will negatively impact are the ones who maybe can’t afford to upgrade every time and therefore can’t afford to pay $600 a year for a subscription. I personally like to own the licenses of my software. Some packages need a subscription to keep up to date but if I stop paying that, for whatever reason, the software still works. I just don’t get my updates.

I would have liked CC to have been running parallel with CS for a few versions before forcing everyone over to it.
