| I think the earliest Adobe software that qualifies for an upgrade is CS3, released in spring 2007. If that's what you're still using, perhaps there's no reason for you to upgrade. And I'm on DSL right now, through Sonic.net. A fast, reliable, and inexpensive connection. Downloading files from and uploading files to clients works fine. Maybe you can switch to them, or to another faster service. No need to a T3 line. For me, the cloud will, I guess, become another monthly business expense like my mobile phone and internet service. Ya; a change; ya, I'm not totally comfortable with it yet; no, it's not the end of the world. For hobbyists, I can see the concerns. For professionals, less so.
