the answer is, it depends. maybe you are doing stuff that requires that =
long to render and the encode part is a minimal part of it.=20

is your storage fast enough ?=20

do you have MP enabled ? and have enough RAM for what you are rendering =
?

have enough cores ?

what are your render settings ? HQ / draft, Full / 1/2 / 1/4 res ? =
Motion blur on ?

personally I'd probably output DNxHD 145 or ProRes LT unless you need to =
push the file across the net on a slower connection. even then it might =
be faster to output a ProRes file, then encode to h.264
