| the answer is, it depends. maybe you are doing stuff that requires that long to render and the encode part is a minimal part of it. is your storage fast enough ? do you have MP enabled ? and have enough RAM for what you are rendering ? have enough cores ? what are your render settings ? HQ / draft, Full / 1/2 / 1/4 res ? Motion blur on ? personally I'd probably output DNxHD 145 or ProRes LT unless you need to push the file across the net on a slower connection. even then it might be faster to output a ProRes file, then encode to h.264 S On May 7, 2013, at 3:54 PM, Mr. Eric D.
