It's been awhile since my last IMUG Vegas blowout. Like since Media 100 was strong, long ago. If memory serves me, I'm not the only one here looking down the barrel of retirement. But I'm not there yet and want the latest and greatest until I flame out (I'm finally hitting my stride, so why quit now?).
Either I stay put at CS6, or "join the cloud" until which time I decide to pull the plug and pay the freeze fee. Should I be fickle with lots of subscribe/unsubscribe/freeze cycles, Adobe could conceivably profit even more than a continuous subscription would yield (insert animated $ visual here).
Oh, and what's the fastest growing age group? I forget ;-)

this what I am wanting in the future - I can't imagine retiring in the future and not wanting to put together a personal project.

I also agree with Bill's idea that there should be some mechanism made available to "freeze" a working version of the apps (or selected apps) when you decide to stop subscribing. After thinking about it, the inevitable inability to open or revise my project files feels a bit draconian (and scary).
